Great article from the NYT on Kim Gordon, formerly of Sonic Youth and vocalist on the very cool ‘Kool Thing’ from the 1990’s classic album, Goo. However, Kim doesn’t want, or need, to be defined by her past. But rather, she’s still pushing out the boat as an artist. At 66, Kim is every bit as happening as she has ever been. Like most people her age, she’s still doing what she was doing when she was 37. And maybe better. Smart marketers know that the new middle age is somewhere between the ages of 35 and 75 – and that people over the age of 50 have the time and money to keep pursuing their passions.
